Sail on the Zambezi Queen Luxury Boat

The Zambezi Queen is a luxury 42 meter boat that operates on the Chobe River, situated between Namibia and Botswana. The boat is based along the banks of the Caprivi Strip and is only a few kilometers from the place where uniquely, four countries meet, namely Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia. The Zambezi Queen cruises along the banks of the magnificent Chobe National Park with its teeming wildlife and approximately 120 000 elephants and over 400 species of birds.

The first and second levels of the boat incorporate 14 cabins - all of which have their own private balconies and have been tastefully furnished with either a double or two single beds. Of the 14 suites, 4 are master suites, some with their own private outdoor areas. These master suites are all larger than the 10 standard suites. Suites are now fitted with air conditioning units. Each private space has been designed with the African summer in mind, and clever use of shutters situated on the outer edge of the deck and ceiling fans ensures a cool experience even during times of the year when external temperatures soar. Uniquely, the entire boat including the top deck, living and dining area, has mosquito screening.

Situated on the 3rd level with unobstructed views on three sides, our guests can dine whilst taking in the unique African surrounds. The bar contains both local and imported spirits, wine and beers. The top deck consists of the dining room, the lounge including a wood burning fireplace, a bar and a sunbathing area complete with private pool. The interior furnishings have been designed by one of South Africa’s top designers and this can be seen by the elegant, timeless look that has been created. Also to be found in the living area is a library of books and numerous games. It is apparent that no expense has been spared in creating a luxury vessel of a world class standard, and this is especially so, when one considers this boat was built on the banks of the Chobe River.

Activities from the boat include water-based game viewing on smaller boats which enables close-up viewing in an environment where the animals do not feel threatened, tiger and bream fishing in season, and bird watching from smaller boats.Activities in the surrounding area include an optional land-based half day 4x4 game viewing in Botswana';s Chobe National Park (only available on the three-night stay) and a land-based cultural tour of a local village.
