GARIFUNA DRUMMING LESSON AND PERFORMANCEFollow the sound of the beat to the Lebeha Drumming Center in Hopkins. Help create the music while participating in a traditional Garifuna drum lesson. After your lesson is over, enjoy an inspiring musical performance put on by the instructors.

CHOCOMUSEO TOUR AND WORKSHOP
In Antigua, take part in a chocolate-making workshop at ChocoMuseo – a museum dedicated to chocolate. Learn about the process from bean to bar and then indulge in your creations (or save them until you get home).

MARIE SHARP'S HOT SAUCE FACTORY VISIT
A true institution in Belize, Marie Sharp’s Hot Sauce is a can’t-miss for anyone looking for a genuine taste of Central America. Tour the factory, before indulging in some spicy flavours you’ll want to take back home with you.

LAKESIDE COOKING CLASSTake in a cooking lesson at a charming restaurant located on the shores of beautiful Lake Petén Itzá. A local chef will teach you how to prepare traditional dishes like pepián (a spicy meat stew). Then opt to kick back in a hammock, go for a swim, or head out in a kayak.

WOMEN'S CO-OP AND LOCAL LUNCH
The process of throwing (hand-forming) pottery has been passed down for centuries through generations of women in the village of San Ignacio. Head to a co-op here to learn the process of this art, as well as how to make traditional corn tortillas. Then sit down to the lunch you helped prepare.

"In the early morning mist, only the shriek of howler monkeys and the plaintive cry of parrots disturb the silence of the forest. Suddenly, the path bursts into the open, where a cluster of massive towers of blackened stone reach for the sky. The Great Plaza of Tikal is pure architectural theater.” Sacred Journeys of a Lifetime, National Geographic Society, 2008
