1. A Trip to Outer Space

This would be the ultimate experience for anyone with a bucket list. This program will begin in 2015 and will give people the opportunity to fly on Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic to outer space. A flight isn’t cheap, but if you can afford it – we would definitely recommend it.

 

2. Arctic or Antarctic Cruise

The Antarctica and the Arctic offer a very different cruise experience and it’s difficult to choose between which one is better. Both will deliver plenty of wildlife and amazing landscapes that make these regions of the world very special.

 

3. African Safari

An African Safari is near the top of most people’s bucket lists. This is mostly due to the fact people would like to see the “Big Five” in the wild. The best countries to spot these wild animals are Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Uganda.

 

4. Machu Picchu

The ancient city of Machu Picchu is located in Peru and is one of the world’s best known archaeological sites and is considered one of the new Seven Wonders of the World.  In 1911 a Peruvian guide led Yale professor Hiram Bingham up a steep mountainside and into the history books as the first Western scholar to lay eyes on the “lost city” of Machu Picchu. It stands over 2430 meters above sea –level and this breathtaking attraction should be a must see for everyone.

 

5. Diving in the Great Barrier Reef

For any dive or snorkel enthusiast, a trip to the Great Barrier Reef in Australia is at the top of their bucket list. This is the oldest and largest living coral reef in the world and home to hundreds of different types of beautiful fish. A visit to the Great Barrier Reef should be on everyone’s bucket list.

 

6. Great Wall of China

The Great Wall of China is a series of fortifications made of stone, brick, tamped earth, wood, and other materials and it spans over 6,000km across China. It was built over 2,000 years ago by the first emperor of China and is without a doubt one of the most stunning achievements of mankind. Many people have said that you can see it from space, unfortunately, this is incorrect. This is without a doubt a must see and should be on everyone’s bucket list.

 

7. Galapagos Islands

The Galapagos Islands were first discovered in 1535, but made famous by Charles Darwin in 1835 when he did his scientific research on 'natural selection'. 

Today, this World Heritage Site by UNESCO fascinates those who visit in ways so inexplicable that many could easily argue there isn't a place like it on earth. The up-close-and-personal experience you will have with some of the islands wildlife is something you will never forget.

 

8. Climb Mount Everest

The Everest Base Camp comprises two base camps, each on opposite sides of Mount Everest. Trekking Mount Everest can be very daunting for some trekkers, but if you are into adventure and adrenaline sports then this is a must.

 

9. Oktoberfest in Munich

For someone looking for something a bit different and crazy, Oktoberfest is held annually in Munich, Germany and it has been going on for over 200 years. It’s considered the largest festival in the world and it attracts over 7 million visitors every year. This 16-day festival runs from late September to the first weekend in October and in the end people will have consumed over 2 million gallons of beer, half a million roast chickens and a quarter million sausages.  It’s so much more than a big party; it is a valued and historic cultural tradition, which is why so many people dress in authentic traditional dress. Oktoberfest is an experience you will not forget and should be on your bucket list.

 

10. Trans Siberian Railway Journey

The Trans-Siberian Railway is the longest and one of the most famous train journeys in the world. This epic journey crosses one-third of the world and it takes you through the heart of Russia through Mongolia to China. This long journey is a dream of a lifetime and should be on everyone’s bucket list
